July 15th, 2024 - July 22nd, 2024

Ramble On

Come to Cornwall, England, and ramble with Renowned Author and Elder Appalachian Witch, Byron Ballard. Experience the land, the sand, and the cider of this oft-overlooked Celtic nation.  Ancient standing stones, mysterious islands, and sea-side villages dot the landscape of one of Byron’s favorite places. Magic lessons, walks, talks, food and folklore abound.

The cost of this tour is $4,000 per person.

RenAdventures have developed the most absolutely incredibly amazing experience you will treasure the rest of your life!

Itinerary

Day 1 July 15th Monday
Plan to meet the shuttle bus at the Cornwall Newquay airport by 2pm. One of our team will greet guests when you arrive and take you to the Camelot Castle Hotel in the town of Tintagel.
Relax, breathe, and take in the sea-side vista.
Byron will be there to wander the hillside with you before we enjoy our welcome banquet.

Day 2 July 16th Tuesday
We head to the Witch Museum in Boscastle and enjoy the quaint town as well.  We’ll lunch at a local tavern and then it’s off to St. Nectan’s Glen Waterfall to connect with the waters of Cornwall. We’ll have dinner at a pub in Tintagel to soak in the local atmosphere.

Day 3 July 17th Wednesday
We head to mythic Bodmin Moor, and then visit The Eden Project Biomes to see how abandoned land can be nurtured into biodiversity and sustainability! We’ll return to Camelot Castle Hotel for one more sublime night in Tintagel.

Day 4 July 18th Thursday
We head south to St. Ives to visit the Zennor mermaids and the coastal town. We’ll have lunch in St. Ives and head to Mên-an-Tol, the mysterious standing stones believed to have restorative powers. Let’s find out! We’ll swing by the megalithic tomb at Lanyon Quoit on the way to our new place in Penzance. We’ll have dinner, a class by Byron, and a lesson in the local cider drink “scrumpy”.

Day 5 July 19th Friday
Partake of a hearty breakfast as we prepare for a trip to the amazing isle town of St. Michael’s Mount. Will you take the small boat to the island, or try to beat the tide and walk on the small “road” that is only above water part of the day? We will spend a full day exploring the magical isle before we return to our hotel in the city of Penzance.

Day 6 July 20th Saturday
We meet up with local witches and friends of Byron in the town of St. Buryan. We’ll have a “Walk with the Witches” tour of the town and learn the local history of this quaint village. Lose yourself in the antiquity of the land for a while before we share a meal at the St. Buryan Inn with our hosts. That evening we will have a private lesson with our local witch friends in the village hall, and there might be just enough time to grab one more pint at the local tavern before we return to our hotel.

Day 7 July 21st Sunday
We have a full day of sites to see as we visit the Merry Maidens stone circle, the Minack Theater, Land’s End, and the ancient village of Carn Euny. We’ll stop in the pubs for sustenance and local gossip along the way.

Day 8 July 22nd Monday
