A Group of Adventurers Sit in a Tavern...
Join the game with Paolo Garbanzo and Dan “Shakespeare” Kostelec on an epic 8-day D&D adventure to the UK. Over 24 hours of D&D planned as we play our way from Edinburgh to Muncaster Castle and back. We’re going to stay in Castles, eat in taverns, and visit historic locales along the way. Keep your eyes open as each place we visit will be part of the coming adventure! We’ll return each night from our outings to throw down the D20’s and complete the epic quest “the Menace of Muncaster”. We’ll end our adventure with a hero’s feast in Muncaster Castle, hosted by the lord of the castle himself!
We’ll be playing 5th edition D&D starting our adventure with 3rd level characters. Each Game Master will have a table of 5-7 players. Email email@example.com for more information about the game.
The cost of this tour is $2,700.00 per person.
RenAdventures have developed the most absolutely incredibly amazing experience you will treasure the rest of your life!
Sunday June 21st
We’ll arrange for group pick-up at the Edinburgh airport at 3 pm to take you to Melville Castle, just outside of Edinburgh. If you’ve arrived earlier, we can also meet you in Edinburgh at one of the local taverns and we’ll take you to Melville from there.
Tonight we relax and enjoy a lovely three course dinner while we meet and greet the other players, Dungeon Masters, and assistants for the game. Relax, plot, and plan with your fellow gamers as you take some time to explore the castle grounds (or just the bar…)
Monday, June 22nd
After breakfast, we’ll depart our castle to explore Edinburgh. We’ll take a tour of the astounding Edinburgh Castle and have lunch in one of the famous taverns. We’ll take a little more time to explore before we head back to our castle to freshen up and have an early dinner so we can start rolling some dice! We’ll have our first 4 hour gaming session after dinner and get this adventure started!
Tuesday, June 23rd
After breakfast we’ll depart Melville castle and head south the Carlisle where we’ll visit the Carlisle Cathedral and head to The Sportsman, the oldest tavern in Carlisle for some english pub food.
We’ll head on to Muncaster after lunch, check in and relax before we meet “Lord” Muncaster himself for a tour of his castle.
We’ll have a refreshing dinner before we start our second game night, Part II: The Menace of Muncaster.
Wednesday, June 24th
After breakfast we will visit the nearby coastal town of Ravenglass, where we’ll possibly discover some interesting clues for tonight’s game. We’ll have lunch at the Pennington Arms, the local pub in Ravenglass.. Maybe you can talk to the bartender about any rumors they might have heard..
We’ll take the short 5 minute drive back to Muncaster, freshen up, and be ready for our double header, Part III: The Secrets of Ravenglass. We’ll take a dinner break, and then it’s time for Part IV: The Ghost of Tom Foole.
Thursday, June 25th
After all the excitement of last night, we’re going to have an early breakfast and head out for a day trip to Levens Hall. Their famous topiary gardens inspired Lewis Carol when he wrote “Through the Looking Glass”. We’ll have some lunch and some free time in the gardens before heading back to Muncaster. We’ll convene for dinner and get back to the game for Part V: Things got weird.
Friday, June 26th
We’re going to take a nice early day at the castle and then after lunch, it’s time for Part VI: The Final Showdown. We’ll finish this adventure and get ready for the night’s Victory Banquet in the grand dining room of Muncaster Castle! (…This could also be a wake for those that we lost in the battle… probably a little of both.)
We’ll party, sing songs of our victory, toast the brave fallen, and recount a few hilarious moments. Lord Muncaster will give his thanks to the brave adventurers.. And perhaps even a reward..
Saturday, June 27th
Depart Muncaster to the quaint town of Keswick. See the stone circle Castle Rigg, one of the oldest stone circles in England.
We’ll have lunch in Keswick before making the journey to our final destination in Edinburgh. We’ll have one final dinner together where we’ll answer all your questions about the adventure. What secrets went undiscovered? We’ll also give out our parting gifts, and toast our favorite moments of the game.
Sunday, June 28th
We’ll have an early morning shuttle provided for everyone whose flight leaves today from the Edinburgh airport. We’ll say our final good-byes and prepare for the next adventure.
